How to Fix Scrolling Lag in Firefox 3.5
If you find Firefox lags and/or stalls when loading Web pages, often rendering the scroll bar jerky or slow, learn how to fix it. The problem can be with too many "Add-ons." Fix that delay by uninstalling Firefox Add-ons.
Things You'll Need

1
Launch Firefox 3.5 and browse the Web page portion where it lags most often. The lag usually happens where there are lots of graphics.
-
2
Click on "Tools" on the top of browser menu and select "Add-ons" from the drop-down list.
-
-
3
Disable the installed "Add-ons" one by one under all the categories. To disable an Add-on, right-click to highlight and press the "Disable" button.
-
4
Restart Firefox 3.5 and reload the page, then check by dragging the scroll bar while the page is still loading. Repeat Step 3 until you find the Add-on that is causing the scrolling lag.
-
5
Update problematic Add-on(s). Or, uninstall the Add-on, if the lag persists after updating.
