How to Create Some Unique Wedding Centerpiece ideas
Bouquets of flowers arranged in vases may be pretty, but they are hardly unique. To create wedding decorations that are all your own, skip bouquets and use common objects in different ways. Creating centerpieces that are unexpected will make a strong visual impact on your guests; but the more unusual they are, the more carefully you must plan the rest of your reception decor. An art deco centerpiece will look wrong in a room decorated with Victorian style, so choose your centerpieces before finalizing the rest of your decor.

Hanging Garlands
-
1
String flowers onto pieces of wire. Cut a variety of lengths of wire between 1 to 2 feet long. Use fake flowers or choose real blooms that are sturdy, such as Gerbera daisies. Tie one end of each piece of wire in a knot so the flowers do not fall off.
-
2
Cut a piece of ribbon 3 feet long. Tie the ends of the ribbon to opposite sides of a wire wreath form.
-
-
3
Tie one end of each floral garland to the wreath. You will need anywhere from 20 to 30 garlands for each centerpiece, depending on how tightly packed you want the flowers to be.
-
4
Hold the wreath up to the position over each table where you want it to hang. Measure and cut a piece of ribbon to reach from the ceiling to the top of the wreath.
-
5
Tie the end of the ribbon to the center of the ribbon hanger that is attached to your wreath. Attach the other end of the long piece of ribbon to the ceiling using tacks.

6
Visit antique stores and kitchen supply stores. Buy teacups or other small bowls that have interesting shapes and patterns.
-
7
Make stacks of three or four cups and bowls. Place pieces of double-stick tape in between the bowls to keep them together. Arrange a few stacks of bowls and cups at the center of each table.
-
8
Place a votive candle or tea light inside the top bowl or cup on each stack. Light them just before guests arrive.
Plants
-
9
Buy wide glass vases from a craft store. Choose vases in a variety of heights, shapes and widths for the most interesting centerpieces.
-
10
Place a few pieces of moss in the bottom of each vase. Layer several types of moss on top of each other to show off different colors and textures.
-
11
Push a few palm fronds into the moss to create height inside the vases. Scatter a few seashells on top of the moss inside each vase. Place one or two vases on each table.
