How to Block the Connection From an Xbox to My Computer

The Microsoft Xbox, like other sixth-generation consoles, has Internet capabilities. With the right equipment, the Xbox has the ability to connect, via wireless, to other devices. Even if your modem has been locked to ensure that no one can use it without a password, Xboxes can still connect to computers that are allowing wireless connections. Fortunately, it is possible to ensure that no devices are able to connect to your computer, including Xboxes.

Instructions

1. Select the "Start" button on your desktop to open the start menu.

2. Right-click the "Network" option in your start menu, and select the "Properties" option.

3. Select the "check status" option of your wireless connection, and select the "Properties" option in the status window.

4. Select the "Sharing" tab in the properties window and un-check the box that says "Allow other users to connect through this computer's internet connection."
