How Do I Download Speech for My Navigon GPS?

GPS units offer different voices for directions.

Most GPS units typically come with at least one male and one female voice that you can use for voice directions. However, you can purchase additional voices, such as an Indian or Bostonian accent for your Navigon GPS. Once you've purchased a voice add-on for your Navigon GPS, download the voice(s) onto your GPS devices.

• Code from purchasing voices on Navigon site

Instructions

1. Go to the Navigon USA website on your Web browser (see Resources section).

2. Click on the "Registration and Activation" tab on the page.

3. Follow the instructions to register your GPS unit. If you have done this already, skip this step.

4. Select "Activate your service accessories" from the site that appears. Enter your voice purchase code and follow the on-screen instructions. You will be given an 11-digit product key.

5. Tap "Options" on your GPS screen, then click "Service activation."

6. Enter the product key, then tap "OK."

7. Tap "OK" to close the window and access your voices.
