How to Recover a Deleted Address List

Making the mistake of deleting an address list file on your computer can cause no end of headaches, as you would normally have to go through the convoluted process of recompiling the list by hand. Fortunately, you can restore the deleted address list file through the use of "undelete" software. These are free programs that can reverse time to replace the deleted address list back in its rightful place on your hard drive.

Things You'll Need

• Undelete program such as Recuva or Glary Undelete

Instructions

1. Click on one of the pages linked under Resources and download a piece of undelete freeware.

2. Double-click on the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions for your specific program to install it to your computer.

3. Open the program and click on the letter of the drive that contained the address list.

4. Click on the address list file from the list of recoverable files that appear on-screen.

5. Press the "Restore" or "Undelete" button to place the file back on your hard drive.
