These programs are helpful not only because they save you time but also because they guarantee that you'll never accidentally miss another update. There are multiple sources available that provide free tools for this purpose. The following article outlines three of them. The first does not require you to download anything while the second and third options are offers for free trial versions of software programs.

      Gather the necessary information. You will need to know the URL address of the website that you want monitored for updates. The URL address is the address found at the top of your web browser. You will also need to know your email address

      Beside the phrase "page address" enter the URL address of the site that you want monitored

      Beside the phrase "send alert to" enter your email address. After the information is entered click "next."

      Choose the notification settings that you most prefer. Here you can choose the desired alert name that will appear in your inbox, you can choose how frequently you want to receive notifications, you can even type in specific phrases that you feel should receive special attention. Once you have finished setting the options click "create."

      Retrieve the confirmation email. You will receive an email that is meant to confirm that you provided a legitimate email address. Click on the link that is found inside the confirmation message. The link will return you to the "Web site monitor" web page.

      Choose a password for your new account and type it into the box provided. Check the box that indicates you have read and agree to the website's conditions.

      Click "submit." You will now automatically receive email notification whenever your desired website performs updates that meet your criteria.
