How Do I Get Power to My Notebook USB Connection?

Some of the most prevalent devices that can charge from a USB port are the Apple iPod and iPhone, Amazon Kindle and several other MP3 players. Connecting the devices to your notebook is an easy way to charge your mobile device, especially if you don't have the product's power cord.

• USB device
• USB cable
• Notebook

Instructions

1. Plug the USB cable into any of the USB ports on your computer. Many computers have several different USB ports, and it doesn't matter which connection you chose.

2. Connect the other end of the USB cable into the USB port on the device. If you are using an Apple iPod or iPhone, you need to use the special USB cable that came with the device.

3. Power off the device you have connected through the USB cable. When the equipment is powered down, it charges faster than when powered on.
