Instructions for No-Sew Fleece Throws
There is nothing warmer than a fleece throw, and there is nothing easier to make. With only a yardstick or measuring tape and a sharp scissors, almost anyone can make a fleece throw in less than an hour, for a very reasonable cost.

1
Fleece material Purchase fleece fabric. For a bed-size throw, get 2 yards. For a child-size throw, 1 or 1 1/2 yards will do.
-
2
Trim fabric ends evenly Trim ends of fleece so that a perfect rectangle or square is formed. Along both ends, cut up 4 inches every 1/2 inch until there is a fringe on both ends of the fleece.

Working from center outward, form a slip knot on each cut strand of fabric. Position knot right at inner end of cut, and tighten so that there is a firm knot. Do the same for each cut strip, so that knots are of uniform tightness and placement on the throw. When all knots are tied, throw is finished. For an extra fancy look, each strip can now be cut up the center from end to the knot. This will provide a more fringe-like look, and the pieces will curl up attractively if a firm pull is given to each.
