How Do I Change My Email Editor in Internet Options?
If you're tired of having the wrong email client launch every time you click on an email address, you can correct that by updating your default mail client. Depending on which web browser you prefer to use, this setting is updated in the browser's "options" menu or via the Windows Control Panel.

For Internet Explorer, Safari & Chrome

Click "Start" and select "Control Panel" from the right column of the "Start" menu.

Click "Default Programs."

Click "Associate a file type or protocol with a program."

Select "Mailto" from the list; it will most likely be located close to the bottom.

Click "Change Program." Select the program you want to use as your email editor and click "OK." When you click on an email link, the program that you selected will be launched by default.
For Firefox

Open Firefox.

Click "Tools" and select "Options" from the menu.

Click "Applications" and scroll through the list until you locate "Mailto."

Select the application you would like to set as your default email client from the drop-down menu next to "Mailto." Click "OK" after you have made your selection. That application will be set as your default email editor and will launch every time you click an email link.
