Instructions

    • 1

Wash hair as usual and dry until damp. Comb your bangs completely forward, starting at the middle top of your head and coming down towards your face. Secure the rest of your hair with a hair tie to keep it out of the way.

Cut your bangs, using scissors, to be straight across at nose level. Afterward, make small vertical cuts across the bangs to soften the edge, using the very tip of the scissors to snip the ends.

Hold the bangs with the hand on the side towards which you'd like them to sweep. Hold them between your first two fingers in a curve, with the highest point where you want the bangs to be shortest. Gently squeeze the scissors as you move down the curve of your finger, creating a side-swept edge. When you've achieved the general shape you'd like, use small vertical cuts to soften the edge, again using just the tip of the scissors to snip the ends.

Wrap the bangs around a one-inch round brush, pulling down and to the side as you blow dry the bangs to style them. Repeat until the bangs are dry and in place. Mist some hairspray over the bangs to keep them in place.
