Instructions

    • 1

Dust the basin stand daily using a soft cloth. A flannel cloth is ideal for the job as it won't damage the marble.

    • 2

Clean the marble using a solution of 1 gallon of water mixed with 1/2 cup of liquid dish washing detergent. Use a clean, soft cloth to wipe the stand with the solution. Use another cloth dipped in clean water to rinse the marble. Wipe with a dry soft cloth.

    • 3

Keep the stand away from extreme and sunlight, as these may weaken the stand or cause it to fade.

    • 4

Wax the stand with a wax appropriate for antiques at least twice per year.

    • 5

Contact a professional antique restorer if you notice any cracks or other defects in the stand. An antique restorer may be able to fix the problem for you.

Tips & Warnings

  • Never use harsh chemicals or stiff brushes to clean the stand. These items may damage the stand to a point where it isn't repairable.
