How to Clean Woodstove Glass Doors of Film
Woodstoves provide heat and warmth to a home, typically at a more affordable price than the use of electricity or gas. The woodstoves do, however, require regular maintenance to keep the fire burning, get rid of ash, and keep the woodstove clean. The soot from the stove builds up quickly on the glass doors, requiring a quick cleaning procedure that will get rid of the film and keep the doors looking clear and clean. Does this Spark an idea?

Pour 1 tbsp. dish soap, 1 cup vinegar, and 2 cups water into a spray bottle.

Allow the wood stove fire to burn out, and clean while the stove is still warm.

Spray the cleaning solution onto the glass door, and let it sit for five seconds.

Wipe the glass clean with a handful of newspaper. The newspaper is lint-free, and will clean without leaving streaks. Use small circular buffing motions, and repeat as needed until the doors have been fully cleaned.

Tips & Warnings
For doors with heavy residue that have not been cleaned for a long period of time, first scrape the glass with a razor blade, which will speed up the cleaning process.
