How to Arrange Songs in Alphabetical Order on Windows Media Player 10
As you use Windows Media Player (WMP) 10, you can manage, arrange, play and sort your songs on your computer. One practical and oft-used sorting method is to arrange songs in alphabetical order. Windows Media Player will sort songs alphabetically by song name, artist or album according to your preference. Choose the songs you wish to play and then sort them as you desire in alphabetical order.

Open Windows Media Player 10 on your computer. Ensure your player is set to function in the "Full Mode," which is the default mode. Find the small icon in the lower right corner of the player and hover your mouse over this icon to see which mode you are currently using. If you need to switch to full mode, you will see the message "Return to Full Mode" when you hover. Click the icon once if this is the case.

Select the items you wish to play by highlighting the items, right clicking and selecting "Play Selected Items." You can select multiple items at one time by holding down the "Control" key while you highlight songs.

Click the "Now Playing" tab at the top of the player.

Select "Now Playing List" and then select "Sort" from the drop-down menu. After you select sort, you will have the option to sort by name, artist or album. Select your choice by clicking it.

Tips & Warnings
Sort your library with a similar method. Click the "Library" tab at the top of the player and then right click the column you wish to use to sort the music. Select "Sort By" and the music will immediately by sorted in ascending or descending alphabetical order.
