Connect the printer via USB cable.

The HP Deskjet 3920 printer is a table top printer used for most home-based work stations. It is not a larger printer so it wouldn't work well for business operations. However, if you are using the printer and the color of the page is not as dark as you like, there are a few ways you can go about adjusting the darkness of the ink on your printed page.

Instructions

    • 1

Replace the ink cartridges of the HP printer if the ink is beginning to dry out. The lower the level of ink the lighter the pages are going to appear.

    • 2

Print the document you want with new ink and let the page dry. When the page has a good deal of ink on it, the paper often takes a while to dry. If you touch the page too soon the ink can smear.

    • 3

Place the printed page back onto the top of the printer tray. The paper rotates when you print it so flip the paper so the blank side faces up. The top of the page is what inserts into the printer.

    • 4

Print the document again. The exact same document prints onto the exact same location of the paper. This just applies a second coat of ink onto the page, giving everything a much darker look.
