How to Download Ringtones From My Computer to My Blackberry Pearl

The BlackBerry Pearl is a smartphone that is developed by BlackBerry, the popular smartphone cell phone manufacturer. As do most cell phones, the BlackBerry Pearl allows you to download ringtones from your computer to the cell phone. Because the BlackBerry Pearl features a microSD memory card slot, the process to download ringtones from your computer to your BlackBerry Pearl is made easier than ever.

Things You'll Need

• MicroSD memory card
• MicroSD memory card USB adapter

Instructions

1. Insert the microSD memory card into the microSD memory card USB adapter. Plug the USB adapter into the USB port of your computer.

2. Locate the ringtones on your computer's hard drive that you wish to download from your computer to your BlackBerry Pearl. Drag and drop the ringtones to the "Sounds" folder of your microSD memory card.

3. Remove the USB adapter from the computer. Remove the memory card from the USB adapter. Insert the microSD memory card into the microSD memory card of the BlackBerry Pearl.

4. Click "Menu" on the BlackBerry Pearl. Click "Settings & Tools." Click "Memory." Click "Card Memory."

5. Open the "Sounds" folder. Scroll to the ringtone you want to download to your BlackBerry Pearl. Click "Options." Click "Move to Phone Memory." The ringtone is downloaded to your BlackBerry Pearl's "Sounds" folder. Repeat for each ringtone you wish to download to your BlackBerry Pearl.

Tips & Warnings

• Download pictures and music to your BlackBerry Pearl in the same manner---only place pictures in the "Pix" folder and music in the "Music" folder.

• Beware of dragging and dropping the ringtones to the wrong folder because they will not transfer to your BlackBerry Pearl as ringtones if you do.
