How to Assemble a Trombone

Assembling a trombone is an easy task and is essential before playing the trombone. Exercise care when assembling a trombone because it is easy to drop parts of the trombone or ding it against a chair or music stand.

Instructions

1. Open the trombone case carefully. Remove the slide assembly from the case and place on a flat surface. Remove the bell from the case.

2. Pick up the slide assembly and insert it into the bell at a 90 degree angle. Tighten the slide receiver nut to secure the two sections.

3. Carefully place the mouthpiece into the receiver and gently twist.

• Do not place the instrument anywhere it could easily fall.
