How to do an Aqua Zumba routine

Zumba has now headed underwater. You are about to learn how to construct and perform an Aqua Zumba routine in easy, simple steps. Try this if you are bored with the same old workout. Many health clubs and fitness centers do not yet offer this.

      Find a place to get certified in Aqua Zumba if you are already a Zumba instructor. If not, you will have to prepare yourself by obtaining the Zumba basic instruction offered all over the world.

      Register at the Zumba.com website. You will need a credit card to reserve your place in the Aqua Zumba workshop.

      Attend the Aqua Zumba workshop. Be prepared for a demanding eight hour day with at least two hours of pool time without a lot of breaks.

      Watch and learn the DVD and add your own songs to the Aqua Zumba class. If you are going to do your own songs, jump in the pool to make sure the moves work.

      Over exaggerate your moves if you are teaching. In the water you want to make full moves and hop on each step.

      Enjoy the music and encourage your students to come back to your pool party or find one yourself at zumba.com.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be chest deep in water

  • Pool must be 3.5 to 5 ft deep, no more or no less

  • Have a decent way to play music

  • A States an instructor is certified in Aqua if you check the Zumba website

  • Stay hydrated

  • Use aqua shoes

  • You must be certified and in good standing to teach Aqua Zumba
