How to Create a Wireless Network With a Verizon Air Card

A Verizon Air Card is a device that you can use to connect to a wireless local network or a regional network, such as a 3G network. You can create your own wireless network using your air card in conjunction with your computer and some other simple network devices, enabling you to share files and trade documents with other networked computers. This can be accomplished in roughly 20 minutes in most cases.

Instructions

1. Insert the Verizon air card into an available port on your computer.

2. Open the "Start" menu, click on the "Control Panel," and open the "Network and Sharing Center."

3. Select the option to "Set Up a Network."

4. Choose the option to set up a "Wireless" network, enable file sharing if desired and type the word "AIRCARD" in the "Workgroup" field.

5. Reboot your computer to finish creating your wireless network.
