How Do I Add a TV Cable Line?
If you receive your cable television without the aid of a receiver (like when you have basic cable) you have the ability to split your cable up to be directed to different locations in your home, without paying for extra cable hook-ups. This process is rather straightforward and only requires a few products you can purchase from your local electronics store. With the appropriate products, you can add a TV cable line to your home without the aid of a technician.

1
Connect the cable channel splitter into the coaxial cable running in from the wall. The channel splitter has two sides: one with a single cable connector, the other with two (sometimes more than two). Connect the single cable connector to the coaxial cable running from the wall.

2
Attach a separate coaxial cable to each end of the other side of the cable channel splitter.

3
Connect one of the coaxial cables to the "In" port on the back of the television you typically view the cable programming on.
-
4
Run the second coaxial cable into the second television you wanted to add the additional cable TV line for.
