How to Change a Detachable Blade on a Clipper
Hair clippers are essential for styling hair. Whether you are a professional barber or merely cut and style your own hair at home, you must know how to change clipper blades if you plan on trimming to varied hair lengths. Grasp the blade from the top. Place your index and middle finger on the back of the detachable clipper blade. Place your thumb on the underside of the blade.

Push the detachable clipper blade away from the mounting hinge and body of the clipper. Push down on the release latch on the bottom of the back of the blade if applicable.

Slide the detachable clipper blade up and off of the mounting hinge to remove it completely.

Slide a new detachable clipper blade onto the mounting hinge. Turn on the clipper if your detachable blade must line up with a drive pin. The drive pin will need to be in motion to ensure that your detachable blade aligns properly when you lock it into place.

Snap the detachable clipper blade forward to lock it into place. Push forward and down on the detachable clipper blade so that it fastens into cutting position.
