How to Add an Appointment to a Palm Calendar

You can easily add and modify new appointments in your Palm handheld computer. This is a great way to organize your daily, weekly or even monthly activities.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    If the Date Book icon isn't visible on the Palm screen, tap Applications (Palm III or earlier) or the "house" icon (PalmIIIx or later) to display the main applications. Tap the Date Book icon on the main Palm screen.

  2. Step 2

    Locate the date you'd like to add an appointment to. You can look at a date in day view (the single-dot icon), week view (the line-of-dots icon) or monthly view (the box-of-dots icon).

  3. Step 3

    Select the day view for the appointment date.

  4. Step 4

    Tap next to the hour where the appointment should occur. Write the appointment name in the graffiti writing area.

  5. Step 5

    Tap Details to further customize your appointment. You can modify the time, change the date and set an alarm in the Event Details box.

  6. Step 6

    Click OK to close the Event Details box.

  7. Step 7

    Synchronize your Palm handheld with your Palm desktop to see the appointment in both locations.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can also press the Date Book button on your Palm handheld to open the Date Book.
  • Tap an appointment box in the week view to see the name and time of the appointment.
  • Drag and drop an appointment in the week view to another date.
  • Press the Date Book icon the change the view (day, week or month) of your date book.
