Instructions

    • 1

Separate all of the nuts, screws, bolts and nails by category and size. Keep the piles separated by placing all of these fasteners in separate jars or coffee cans.

    • 2

Purchase a plastic organizer from your local hardware store. These containers are manufactured in different sizes and may contain anywhere from 10 to 50 drawers or more.

    • 3

Place the separated fasteners into their own drawers. You may need to designate several drawers for one type of fastener if you own a large amount of that particular type.

    • 4

Label each of the drawers. Write the name of the contents of each drawer on a piece of masking tape with a permanent marker.

    • 5

Store any larger fasteners that will not fit into the drawers of your organizer in coffee cans or clear glass jars. Use masking tape and a permanent marker to label the containers.

    • 6

Hang the organizer on the wall to maximize the space on your workbench or garage shelving.
