Fold the scarf in half. Drape it on your neck. Pull the loose ends of the scarf through the loop found at the folded end of the scarf. Pull to tighten. This look works when you are wearing a dressy outfit or coat. It can add a preppy touch to a blazer or a slim-fitting jacket. For an even sleeker look, tuck the ends of the scarf within your outerwear. Then, lightly fluff the fabric out to minimize the bulk inside your jacket or blazer.

Drape the full length of your scarf on your neck. Take one end and circle around your neck. Pull the scarf in either direction until the length on each end is balanced. This is one way to add just a little extra warmth to your outfit. It works well with open cardigans or roomy sweaters. It gives a casual, effortless feel to your outfit. With this look, you can also take the loose ends of the scarf and tuck them within the fabric so that your scarf looks like it is one circular piece. This looks good with knitted scarves or longer scarves. It is also a useful trick if you wish to add some volume to the upper part of your body.
