How to Measure Baseball Shin Guards
A fully protected baseball catcher must wear a variety of protective gear. Not only does a catcher need a catcher's mitt, but he also needs a helmet with face mask, a chest protector and shin guards to adequately protect him from balls. You should always measure a catcher for shin guards to ensure the ones you purchase will fit properly and provide the necessary protection.

Tips & Warnings
Catcher's protective gear, including shin guards, can be uncomfortable at first. As a new catcher adjusts to the equipment and gear, he will find it more comfortable. Insist that your catcher wear all protective gear to stay safe and protected at all times.
