Exfoliation is a method of sloughing off dead skin cells, allowing new skin cells to regenerate. Retinol is a derivative of vitamin A that may help to reduce the appearance of wrinkles by stimulating collagen production. Retinol pads may also help to improve skin tone, lighten blemishes, cleanse the skin by removing oil and help prevent acne breakouts.       Remove any makeup you are wearing. Wash your face with a gentle cleanser. Pat your skin dry.

      Wipe a retinol pad gently on your facial skin. You can also wipe it on your neck and chest area to lighten any pigmentation blemishes, as well as prevent future acne breakouts. Moisturize your skin after using the pad.

      Allow your skin to rest; do not apply retinol pads every day. Each brand will vary in its specific instructions. Typically, however, you should apply retinol pads every other day.

      Cease or decrease your usage if you develop skin irritation. If your retinol pads irritate your skin, you could also try switching to a different brand with different ingredients.
