Over time the oxy acetylene torch tip holes will become clogged and it won't be able to cut metal properly. Instructions

    • 1

Shut off the oxygen and acetylene tanks connected to your torch.

    • 2

Flip out the small, hole cleaner rods on the welding tip orifice cleaner.

    • 3

Insert the smallest-size rod into each hole on the oxy acetylene torch tip. Push the rod in and out, as the ridges on the rod are rough and act as a small sander.

    • 4

Increase the size of the rod you insert into the oxy acetylene torch tip holes until you get to the rod size that fits snugly in the torch tip holes.

    • 5

Flip out the flat, rectangular filer in the welding tip orifice cleaner tool. Lay it flat against the oxy acetylene torch tip and file it back and forth until the torch tip is smooth.
