Installing a lint trap is essential to insuring the drain for your washer does not clog. A lint trap, as its name implies, catches the loose pieces of lint from your washer that are filtered out through the washer's drain hose. - Lint trap
- Hose clamp
- Screwdriver

Slip the lint trap over the end of your washer's drain hose. The drain hose will most likely be leading into a slop sink next to your washer or a floor drain.

Slip the hose clamp over the lint trap to the very end of the lint trap, the end that first slipped over your drain hose.

Using a screwdriver tighten the nut on the lint trap, until it is firmly in place.

Tips & Warnings
Avoid using a zip tie to secure the lint trap; these snap quite easily.
