The article number identifies and tracks your package, letter or envelope. In addition, you can request Return Receipt service which provides you a copy of the signature associated with the delivery of the article.

      Retrieve your receipt and identify the article number. Go to the Postal Services website at USPS.com. Click "Track & Confirm" on the upper navigation menu.

      Enter your article number in the "Enter Label/Receipt Number" box on the "Track & Confirm" page. Click the "Go" button.

      Review the search results. The site will provide information on when your package was delivered and a digital signature if you requested Return Receipt service.
