How Do I Mod a XBox 360 With an External Memory Card?

There is a growing community of Xbox 360 users who have modified the game console’s operating system so it can play games and run programs created by their peers. It is not illegal to modify (or “mod”) your Xbox 360, and it doesn’t have to be opened or have any electronic components installed into it. All that is needed are a few hardware devices purchased from a video game or electronics store and some moding programs to run on a Windows-based computer.

Things You'll Need

  • Xbox memory storage card
  • Xbox 360 Action Replay
  • Splinter Cell Xbox 360 video game (or one of your choice)

Tips & Warnings

  • Be sure to format the Xbox 360 memory card first so that there is plenty of free room on it.
