Instructions

    • 1

Cover your work surface with an optical cleaning cloth to protect the face of your Relic Wet watch from getting scratched. Lay the watch face down on the optical cleaning cloth.

    • 2

Insert the tips of a pair of needle-nosed jewelry pliers into the notches on both sides of the watch's back cover.

    • 3

Grip the pliers tightly and, while exerting pressure on both the watch and the pliers, twist the watch clockwise. The watch's back cover should easily come free. If it doesn't, insert an optical-sized flathead screwdriver underneath one of the notches and gently pry off the back cover. Set the back cover of your Relic Wet watch aside until you are finished.

    • 4

Remove the protective round plastic disk covering the watch's inner workings with a small pair of nail tweezers. Set the protective disk aside until your repairs are complete.

    • 5

Pry the dead battery out of the battery compartment with the optical-sized flathead screwdriver. Discard the old battery and replace it with the new one. The replacement battery should easily snap into the battery compartment.

    • 6

Use the small nail tweezers to replace the protective round plastic disk in your Relic Wet watch. Press gently on the disk with the tip of your finger to snap it into place.

    • 7

Replace the back cover of your Relic Wet watch now that your battery replacement is complete. Apply pressure to the watch's back cover to click it back into place.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use the number on the dead watch battery to determine what type of watch battery to buy. Many Relic watch models use a CR 2032 battery that can be purchased from a retail or jewelry store for less than $5.

  • Self-replacing the battery in your Relic Wet watch may void its warranty. If your Relic Wet is still under warranty, contact Fossil customer care to have your watch serviced by a professional.
