How to Move Mortar in Call of Duty 3
“Call of Duty 3” is a first-person shooter set during World War II. It was released for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox, Xbox 360, and Wii in 2006. The player is required to use the granatenwerfer mortar to clear a blockade during Chapter 8: The Forest. This weapon requires the player move the mortar to aim it at the correct target. The movement controls for the mortar are completely different from any weapon in the game, which can make this weapon very awkward to use.

Walk up to the granatenwerfer in Chapter 8: The Forest. Your allies will specifically point out the mortar when you are next to it. A message will appear on the bottom of the screen telling you to press a button to use the mortar. This button will vary based on what console version of “Call of Duty 3” you are playing.

Press the indicated button to use the mortar. You will now be able to move it.

Rotate the right thumbstick on the controller clockwise to move the mortar to the right.

Rotate the right thumbstick counter-clockwise to move the mortar to the left.

Rotate the left thumbstick clockwise to tilt the mortar backward. This will cause the mortar to shoot higher into the air, resulting in the shell hitting a target closer to your position.

Rotate the left thumbstick counter-clockwise to tilt the mortar forward. This will cause the mortar height to be shallower. The shell will hit targets farther away the further forward you tilt the mortar.

Tips & Warnings
The granatenwerfer mortar has an unlimited supply of ammunition. Feel free to shoot test shots while moving the mortar to see where you are currently aiming. This also means you cannot fail this part of Chapter 8: The Forest by running out of ammo.
Aiming the granatenwerfer mortar too high vertically can cause the mortar shells to hit you. This will kill you.
Enemy troops will run and attack you while you are using the mortar. They will kill you if you ignore them. Focus on eliminating the enemy troops before targeting the blockade to advance to the next mission in “Call of Duty 3.”
