The 2000 Chevy Astro is Chevy's full-sized van. It comes equipped with a 4.3 L v-6 engine. This provides ample power to push this van and all of its contents around at high speed. It has a very spacious interior with removable rear seats. It has a large, 102-liter fuel tank, which lets it drive around 560 miles (900 km) per tank. The vans disk brakes provide ample stopping power for it and it has antilock brakes.

      Locate the ignition switch. The ignition switch is positioned 18 to 24 inches from the floor on the top side of the steering column.

      Remove the ignition switch. The ignition switch is held on by two small bolts. Use the ratchet to remove them.

    • 3

      Install the new switch. Set the switch where the old switch was and reattach the old bolts with the ratchet.
