How to Treat Sciatic Nerve Pain (Sciatica) with Herbal Remedies

Place a hot, moist herbal pack over the area by sciatic nerve pain, which will increase blood circulation and help alleviate the pain from the pinched nerve. Make your own hot pack by filling a small, cotton sack with crushed flax seed or mustard seeds. Soak the sack in hot water for ten minutes before applying it.
NOTE: If using mustard seeds in topical herbal remedies for sciatic nerve pain relief, do not leave a mustard seed pack on for longer than 10 minutes, as this will cause skin irritation - 2

Soak in a hot herbal bath brewed from stinging nettle to relieve acute sciatic nerve pain. Steep 4 cups of stinging nettle herb in cold water for 12 hours. Warm up the mixture, strain and add it to a hot bath. Soak in the tub, leaving your chest above water, for twenty minutes. Wrap yourself in a cotton towel or cotton terry cloth without drying yourself off. Lie in bed for an hour and let your body sweat
