How to Unlock Web Pages at School
Schools use web filtering software to block out inappropriate websites from being accessed on campus. Websites that are commonly blocked include adult themed sites, social networking sites, gaming sites, and sites that contain racism and/or vulgar language. Some school systems also block websites that allow downloads, as well as email service providers. Web filtering software can also block websites that are completely appropriate unintentionally. These websites can be unblocked to view school-appropriate material.

Tips & Warnings
Web filtering software blocks the range of IP addresses that the school uses. A proxy will access websites through an off-campus IP address, bypassing the filter.
Check with school staff and get permission before attempting to bypass a web content filter that the school has in place.
