Instructions

    • 1

Dampen a lint-free, soft cloth with water. Gently wipe the area surrounding the ink stain clean of all dirt. Rinse the cloth, wring out the excess water and set it to the side.

    • 2

Spray a small amount of fragrance-free hairspray onto another clean, dry soft cloth. Any hairspray is appropriate, but fragrance free hairsprays contain less alcohol. Alcohol dries out leather. Dried leather cracks and peels.

    • 3

Wipe the ink stain with the cloth. Use gentle, circular motions while wiping. Do not rub.
Rubbing the leather can scrape some of the surface away and damage the purse.

    • 4

Wipe the area until the mark is gone. Apply more hairspray to the cloth, and continue wiping in circular motions to remove ink stains.

    • 5

Use a clean, damp cloth to wipe all hairspray residue from the area.

    • 6

Pour a small amount of mink oil onto a clean, dry cloth. Apply the mink oil to the entire surface of the leather purse.

    • 7

Use a clean, dry cloth to remove excess mink oil.

    • 8

Set the clean leather purse in an area away from sunlight to dry.
