How Do I Update the Modem Firmware on a Siemens Speed Stream 4100?
Your Siemens Speed Stream 4100 modem's firmware--drivers loaded onto the modem's Read-Only Memory (ROM) that control the device's functions--regularly needs to be updated to load new security patches, drivers and other programs related to the device. Firmware updates are released by the modem's manufacturer, Siemens, as a file download. Once the firmware is updated, your Speed Stream 4100 modem will restart and return to a working state so you can continue accessing the Internet.
