How to Troubleshoot a Frigidaire Gallery Washing Machine That Will Not Drain
Figidaire Gallery washing machines have certain requirements to drain properly. The installer should verify that the drain is capable of eliminating 17 gallons of water a minute; that the machine has a standpipe diameter of 1-1/4-inches at least; and that it has a standpipe height above the floor of at least 24 inches but no more than 96 inches. The installer will find that the drain hose attached to the washer only reaches 79 inches anyway, although a longer hose is available as an optional extra. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Check to make sure that the drain isn't clogged with lint or other debris. You can run a garden hose into the drain opening to test it. Clear any blockages with a blast of water or a snake.
-
2
Make sure that the drain hose is attached to the drain opening with the included hanger and cable tie which was shipped with the washer. The hook end of the hose should be in the opening.
-
-
3
Check that the washer is level and doesn't rock during its spin cycle. You can just eyeball it.
-
4
Make sure the drain hose isn't kinked or clogged. Straighten it and clean it out if it is.
-
5
Check for other anomalies that might be causing problems. Oversudsing is an indication you are using the wrong detergent. Check the user guide for recommendations. If the wash load is too wet at the end of the cycle, the washer might be overloaded, underloaded or out of balance.
