How to Fix Windows Error Code 19
If your computer's CD or DVD drive appears to be missing or corrupted and you've received a "Code 19" error message that says "Your registry might be corrupted," you can fix it by following some steps to modify the Windows registry. Note that while this process isn't particularly complicated, it does require that you are familiar with computers and know how to modify the Windows registry. If you aren't comfortable doing this, you should seek the help of a qualified computer professional to assist.

Click the "Start" button, click the "Run" option and then type "regedit" and click the "OK" button.

Use the navigation pane on the left side of the window to navigate to the following registry subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

Select the "UpperFilters" key in the right side of the window, then click the "Edit" button and then click the "Delete" option. Click "Yes" to confirm the deletion.

Click the "LowerFilters" key, then select the "Edit" button and choose the "Delete" option again. Click "Yes" to confirm the deletion.

Close the Registry Editor window and restart the computer to finish applying the settings that should fix the Code 19 error.
