Mass storage mode is a popular feature of the BlackBerry Storm.

Most BlackBerry devices, including the BlackBerry Storm, have a feature called "Mass Storage Support Mode," which enables the phone to be used as a file receiver. This feature requires the BlackBerry Storm to have a media card act as the destination file. Through the mass storage mode, image files can be transferred to the BlackBerry Storm using the drag-and-drop method.

Tips & Warnings

  • A media card may have been included in your BlackBerry Storm purchase, depending on where you bought your handset. However, you can buy media cards from any electronics store. They are also available from your mobile provider.

  • You can remove the image files from your BlackBerry Storm media card and store them on your device's memory. However, image files can take up a lot of memory space, and a loaded memory can slow down your handset.
