How to Transfer iTouch Contacts to Outlook

How to Transfer iTouch Contacts to Outlook thumbnail
An iTouch does more than play music.

If you want to transfer the contact information (including telephone numbers and email addresses) on your iTouch (also called the "iPod Touch") to your Microsoft Outlook account on your computer, you need to sync your device to your PC. Once this is done, the contacts database in Outlook and the contacts database on your iTouch will be identical.

Instructions

    • 1

Connect your iPod to your computer. To do this, use the USB syncing data transfer cable that came with your iPod Touch when you initially purchased it.

    • 2

      Open iTunes.

    • 3

Click the name of your iPod.

    • 4

      Click "Info."

    • 5

Check the box next to "Sync Contacts." From the drop-down menu, select "Windows Contacts." This will tell iTunes that you want the contact information stored in Outlook to be the same as the information stored on your iPod Touch. Click "Sync." Any contact additions you've made to your iPod Touch will now be transferred to Outlook.
