Instructions

    • 1

Use a paper cutter to cut two sheets of card stock 6 1/4 inches by 12 inches.

    • 2

Lay one sheet of card stock flat on a hard surface. Place a ruler lengthwise on the sheet, 2 1/4 inches in from the left side of the paper, and crease the paper against the edge of the ruler using the scoring tool. Move the ruler 4 1/2 inches to the right of the first crease and make a second crease with the scoring tool.

    • 3

Place the second sheet of card stock on the work surface and lay the ruler 3 inches in from the right side of the paper. Use the scoring tool to create a crease on the ruler line. Move the ruler 4 inches to the left and score a second crease.

    • 4

Lay each sheet of card stock flat with the short side of the paper facing you. Position the right side of the first sheet of card stock over the left side of the second sheet. Stick a piece of double-sided tape along the edges of the two pieces to join them.

    • 5

Cut a design along the right side of the card stock with scissors or pinking shears.

    • 6

Place a 6-inch piece of double-sided tape along the top edge, starting at the right side of the card stock. Repeat along the bottom edge. Fold the 3-inch section over, to the left, along the crease to create a pocket. Smooth the edge of the pocket with your fingers to remove any air pockets.

    • 7

Cut a sheet of card stock 3 3/8 inches by 5 1/4 inches. Open a blank document in your word processing software. Set the page size to 3 3/8 inches wide by 5 1/4 inches long. Type in the information you want in your invitations, including any personal messages, verses or quotes. Print the information on the cut card stock. Use double-sided tape to stick the information page to the center of the invitation. Repeat this step to make additional information pages, such as driving directions and response cards, to insert into the pocket.

    • 8

Fold the invitation along each crease, starting at the right, where the pocket is located. Seal the invitation with a decorative sticker or stick a piece of repositionable tape along the left flap.
