Use your music as ringtones on your RAZR 2.

The RAZR 2 is a cell phone that is manufactured by Motorola, and it is simply an improvement upon Motorola's original RAZR phone. As the original did, the RAZR 2 offers you the ability to add your own ringtone to the cell phone. The manner in which you do so, though, depends upon your cell phone carrier, but there is one method that will work with all of them. If you want to use your own music as ringtones on your RAZR 2, you can do so and email the ringtone to your cell phone.

Open the music file of which you would like to create a ringtone inside your audio editing software.

    • 2

    • 3

Save your ringtone with a new file name so that you don't save over the original music file. Log in to your email account. Begin composing a new email message.

    • 4

Input your 10-digit cell phone number following by your cell phone carrier's text messaging extension into the recipient field. (e.g.xxxxxxxxxx@vzwpix.com).

    • 5

Attach your ringtone to the email message. Send the email message. It is delivered to your Motorola RAZR 2 as a text message (or picture text message if Verizon).

    • 6

Click "View" on your RAZR 2 to view the message. Click "Options." Click "Save as." Click "Ringtone." The music is saved to your RAZR 2 as a ringtone.

Tips & Warnings

  • Your ringtone should not exceed 20 seconds because your RAZR 2 will not ring longer than that.

  • Text messaging fees might apply, depending upon your cell phone carrier and calling plan.
