If there is a certain chapter clip on a DVD you have that you want to get onto your computer to watch when you want, you can accomplish this through some DVD ripping software. Such software is available for free download using various websites online, though you may have to pay to continue using the full version after a trial period.

Instructions

    • 1

Download and install some DVD ripping software, such as Format Factory or Easy DVD Rip.

    • 2

Open the program. For example, in Format Factory, click on the "DVD" tab. Click on "DVD to Video."

    • 3

Select the DVD drive where your DVD is from the drop-down menu. You should now see a list of chapter clips to choose from in the textbox toward the bottom of the screen.

Delete the clips you don't want. Select the video format you want from the video format drop-down menu. An example of one you might choose would be "WMV" for Windows Media Player. Click "Convert" to begin conversion.
