How to Get Spanish TV Channels Online
One benefit of the Internet Age is the ability to watch video and even live television on your computer. Sites like YouTube and Hulu offer previously aired video clips and TV shows for online viewing. But if you wish to watch Spanish TV channels on your computer even as they are broadcasting, you can do that too, by visiting either an online portal or a Spanish TV station's own website.

Surfing for Spanish TV
-
1
Be sure that you have sufficient RAM, or random access memory, available to run streaming video in your browser. This may mean running few or no other software programs as you use your browser to watch a program. If the video stream of a Spanish TV channel jams, close open programs or reboot your computer.
-
2
Use broadband Internet access if possible. Dial-up Internet access may download the stream of a Spanish TV channel, but with a lot of stuttering. Visit Speedtest.net, which reports that it conducts over 20 million tests a month, to test the speed of your Internet connection.

-
3
Check to ensure that your browser's security and other settings permit the playing of video from the website you are visiting. For example, an add-on for the Firefox browser called NoScript requires you to give permission to run the scripts of a particular web page. If your browser's security settings are too high, this can prevent a multimedia web page from functioning properly.

Visit online portals that host Spanish TV channels like wwiTV.com and click on the option for the Spanish channel you'd like to watch. As of 2010, wwiTV.com listed almost 100 different TV channels from Spain, 45 from Mexico and dozens of channels from other Latin American nations. The listings provide the channel name, whether the stream is live or recorded, the speed of the stream, and a brief description of the channel. BeelineTV.com, TVsPlanet and 2onlinetv offer fewer listings.
-
5
Keep in mind that whether a portal's Spanish channel in fact streams when you visit can be hit-or-miss. Confirm the time zone. Even if your PC and browser are sufficient, a channel may not be broadcasting at a particular time. Also, the website's own connection to a broadcast may be interrupted. If several Spanish TV channels in a row fail to stream, refresh the web page, or try another browser or portal site.
-
6
You can also visit the website of the Spanish TV station itself to watch a live stream of broadcasting. Whether a stream is provided should be clear on the site's home page. If it's not clear and you wish to make sure, e-mail the webmaster.
