How to Set Up My Wireless Printer Without DSL
A wireless printer is like any other printer except that rather than connecting the printer with a USB cable, the printer has a wireless card. This allows the printer to be set up anywhere it can be connected to a power outlet, as long as you have a wireless network set up. DSL is broadband Internet that can be shared over a wireless router, but DSL isn't required to set up a wireless router and access your wireless printer or any other part of a network.

Set up a wireless router, then plug it in. You can connect any Internet connection with a network cable from the Internet modem to the router. A DSL, cable or other modem connection will work, or you can set up no Internet connection at all.

2
Turn on the wireless printer. Go through the printer's on-screen menu and choose the wireless setup. The printer should find and recognize your wireless router. If there is more than one router listed, select yours and then the "connect" option. If your router has an auto setup button, press it to begin the setup process.

Go to the "Add Printer" wizard on each computer. Select "network printer." Go through the drop-down menu in the printer choices and choose the wireless printer you just installed. Insert the CD with the drivers in your computer's CD drive. When asked for the drivers, point the setup to the driver CD.
