How to Install The Sims 2: Pets on a PC

If your Sims need furry friends, install "The Sims 2: Pets" for Windows. As long as you already have "The Sims 2" installed on your computer, you can expand your Sims play by installing this popular expansion pack. Have fun creating Sims as you always have, but now you can also add cats and dogs. Choose a pre-made breed or create something new and different--with a personality of your choosing as well.

Things You'll Need

• "The Sims 2" Windows game (already installed)
• "The Sims 2: Pets" Windows game

Instructions

1. Open your CD drive and insert your "The Sims 2: Pets" CD into the CD drive. Wait while the CD loads.

2. Click “Next” when the installation window appears.

3. Use the default installation directory (for best results) and select “Next.” Click “Next” again.

4. Place a checkmark to the left of “Create a Desktop Icon” to make a desktop icon if you wish.

5. Click “Install.” Wait while the game installs on your computer. Insert the second CD when your computer prompts you to remove the first CD and insert the second CD.

6. Press “Finish” to complete the installation process.

Tips & Warnings

• When you wish to play "The Sims 2" after installing the pets expansion pack, play by inserting your "The Sims 2: Pets" CD into your CD drive (unless you have other expansion packs that came after Pets 2). “Seasons,” “Bon Voyage,” “Free Time” and “Apartment Life” are expansion packs that came after Pets. If you have any of these expansion packs, play The Sims 2 by inserting one of these CDs.
