How Do You Downgrade to Internet Explorer 7?

At times, upgrading to a newer version of Internet Explorer can cause system instability or compatibility issues. If you have found that Internet Explorer 8 is causing your computer to be unstable, it can be uninstalled from Windows XP and Windows Vista. Note that Internet Explorer 7 and 8 have better security features than Internet Explorer 6. Internet Explorer 7 comes pre-installed with Windows Vista while Internet Explorer 8 comes pre-installed with Windows 7.

Prior to uninstalling Internet Explorer 8, go to the Microsoft website and download Internet Explorer 7, as well as a third-party browser like Firefox or Opera. This ensures that if something goes wrong in downgrading to Internet Explorer 7, you have a backup browser.
