After you have drained the oil from the oil pan while changing the oil in your Honda Accord, you will need to replace the oil filter. The oil filter is located on the driver's side of the oil pan under the Honda Accord. The oil filter is removed from the engine's frame by twisting the oil filter off. The new oil filter is screwed into the same spot as the old oil filter. You will need an oil filter removal tool to remove the filter. You can buy the tool at your local auto parts store.
