How to Make a Wreath With Glass Balls
Holiday wreaths made with glass balls are colorful and decorative hanging on the front door or in a window. You can make a glass ball wreath by attaching round glass ornaments to a wreath frame with glue or wire. Create a mosaic-style glass ball wreath with glass ornaments in a variety of colors. Single-color glass ball wreaths work well with monochromatic holiday color schemes.

Glued Glass Ball Wreath
-
1
Unwind some of the 2-inch-wide ribbon from the spool. Pin the end of the ribbon to the foam wreath form with a straight pin. Wrap the ribbon around the foam wreath form so that the edges overlap. Cut the ribbon from the spool when the wreath form is covered. Glue the end of the ribbon to the pinned ribbon with hot glue and a glue gun.
-
2
Remove the hangers from the glass ball ornaments. Be careful not to break the tip of the ornament as you pull the metal hanger from the end.
-
-
3
Glue the largest glass ball ornaments randomly to the ribbon-covered wreath form with hot glue. Position the ornaments so that the hanger tips are out of sight.
-
4
Glue smaller ornaments to the wreath form and to each other to fill in the spaces left by the large glass ball ornaments. Continue to glue the glass balls in layers on the wreath form until you are happy with the look of the wreath.
Wired Glass Ball Wreath
-
5
Cut a 10-inch strip of 22-gauge craft wire. Thread the wire halfway through the hanger on a glass ball ornament. Twist the wire together twice at the top of the ornament.
-
6
Insert the ends of the wire through the greenery on the premade wreath and attach to the frame. Premade wreaths with silk greenery are available at craft and discount stores during the Christmas holiday season. Twist the wire around the frame so that the glass ball ornament rests on top of the greenery.
-
7
Repeat Steps 1 and 2 to add as many glass ball ornaments as you like to decorate the wreath form.
