How Remove Personal Information From Intelius Search Engines

If you have notice that some of your personal information appears in the Intelius search engines and you are concerned about privacy you can take measures to remove that information. The Intelius search engines get their data from publicly-available records, such as change of address requests and court orders, and from user-provided information, such as information that you provide when signing up for an account with Intelius. Each batch of information can be removed from the site if you make the request.

Instructions

    • 1

Email Intelius at customerrelations@intelius.com to request that your personal information be removed from the site. Be sure to include your name, contact details and the information that you want removed. Intelius does not charge a fee for the removal and they are under no obligation to remove your information. Typically they will remove by email request only the information that you have provided to them in the past, such as information you provided if you registered for an account on the site.

Make a copy of your driver's license to prove your identity. Cross out the license number and the photo. On this copy, include a note to Intelius requesting the removal your identifying information from their search engines. Also include your phone number with area code. Sign and date underneath the note.

    • 3

Fax the copy of the driver's license with the note to Intelius at (425) 974-6194. Allow four to six weeks for your personal information to be removed. Only the information that matches what is on your driver's license and the phone number that you listed will be removed. If you change your phone number, your name or your address you will have to complete this process again. If that happens you must have the new information on a new driver's license for the change to be approved.
